Is the new Tamiya kit on par with or better than Trumpeters KV-1's?

See here:

It has some mistakes, but also has some major improvements over the Trumpeter kit.

The discussion said the roadwheels and arms are an incorrect type. Am I right in thinking that this should be a simple fix by an aftermarket set of roadwheels and arms as a replacement?

great video Andy, I still have the old version in my stash so it was good to see the new version being built. one question, I know you're in tight with tamiya but is there any chance you could do build or review of some of the afv club Vietnam war era vehicles?

Think he means the return rollers (rubber or steel tired) and number of bolts on the caps on the axles. IIRC some Trumpeter kits have both kinds of caps included.
This site has a lot of pics of this version: http://kv1ehkranami.narod.ru/kv1_z41.html

This all seems like a simple part swap if / when an aftermarket company makes a resin kit update. I am looking forward to the Tamiya kit.
