Seems to me they just raised the retail prices by 40%. In the end you are paying just about retail.

We're so accustomed to seeing discounted prices that we think actual retail prices are inflated.
The prices on the newer Academy kits come down to what you'd expect to pay if you got them direct from Asia.

I'd really like to know why the sale is limited only to the contiguous United States; is this another example of "America First"? (And only). Hmmm. Well, that counts me out as I'm a whole sixty miles north of the border; you know, a planet away as far as N.J. is concerned. Look at the money I'll save: 100%! Wow! What a sale! It is just as well because, like so many of you out there, I'll never live long enough to finish-off my stash as it is.

It is disappointing and underwhelming b/c most of 1/35 kits are out of stock.

Even more reason to feel underwhelmed at MRC's "Sale!" and then find a local store to order from. Screw 'em!
