Hi guys, Here are some pics of my schwimmwagen, its almost done, all i have left to do is glue on the shovel, the oar, and the mg-34. It was painted with MM acrylics, and then the scratched and chip paint was done with a mechanical pencil, then i weatered it with pastels, All comments are welcome, enjoy!

Nice schwimmy Wartool. Looks to be very well built, nice paint job and a nice stand alone model. Is this what you want? If so, you have achieved what you set out to.
Personally, I like to weather my stuff a little more and add some personal gear to give it a used feel. It adds some life to the vehicle and more importantly personalises it. This is a lovely little kit and can helped along quite easily. The tub bottom could be washed a little more with muddy, grimey colours as these were amphibious and getting in and out of dirty water would mean the lower hull would be stained and definately the propellar. Throwing in a few items of soldiers kit ... the stuff thats not used when using a box of figures makes a big difference. Graywolf has built the much simpler Italeri version, but done just what I am talking about. See what a difference it makes. He will add it into a dio, so its not finished yet. At least one figure brings these to a whole new level and shows the real scale of a vehicle.
This is a personal opinion... the end result is what you want though.
Ive added Graywolfs schwimmwagen, to explain better what I mean. His gear strategically hides the lack of detail in the Italeri kit, but the end result is what its all about.
Good luck!

Looks Great! I remember building one of thos when I was about 12. Nowhere near as good as that! lol I think it was a Testor's kit, but I may be wrong. Does anybody know if they produced that kit?

Just getting back into this hobby, and have almost finished the Kubelwagen in 1/35. Your schwimmwagen is a great inspiration. Nice one.
