Hi;
What you have is A Iraqi based T-62 with A KMT-4 mine Plow ! The T-62 like the other modified T-54,55s,59s were retrofitted with armor add on around the Luna search light.
The Chinese Type-59s were most often seen with more of the added features than some of the others !!
CHEERS; MIKE.

I noticed that on some of the Iraqi T62's, there were rows of welds on the turret roof that gave an appearance of a plowed field. why was this? I saw them on various T62's and they were always located at the same point on the turret roof.

Hi;
Only the Iraqi themselves could answer that ! At the Time leading up to the Gulf War, they were into experimenting with all kinds of Vehicles ! Most items that were up/dated with were the Vehicles that had Chinese made items like the Lazer Range Finders that were seen on some T-54/55s !! So anything is possible
