I just did my first attempt at real weathering and am happy with the results, not much but with your help I could make it better yet. or if it is too ugly and I need to trow it away, then please tell me :-)
remember, that is not the acctual color, the camera changed my colors badly, and I still need to paint details, weather the road wheels and place it in a nice base made out of that bunch of nice picture frames that I got for 1$ each!

That's coming along nicely, Dragonslain. Looking great indeed. How about some rust, oil, and dirt streaks on the turret and hull sides. Some oil/petrol stains on the engine deck (not-so-diluted wash can be used for these things). The scuff marks of German grey where it is likely the crew would walk or stow equipment. Then Pastel dusting. If the road wheels aren't covered in mud, put oil streaks at random angles from the axle for running grease at different times. Or try a thin coat of a dusty colour over the running gear with the airbrush.... alternatively Pastel chalk mixed with whit spirit brushed on

You ve got it nice there. Nice clean build. As far for the weathering, i d like it to be a lil more intense to show heavy use. Keep on going !!!!

Is that the Tamiya one? I remember I had glued everything, causing my Panther to become immobile, becoming vulnerable to bigger cats........... It is a very good Panther, just needs a bit more weathering. Thanks for your time.

That's right, its the Panther A, and I don't let my cat around it :-) so do you think it could still take more weathering without looking overdone? I'll try pastels and lets see what happens. and all of the bottom parts are going to get some ground colors, and paint chips, thats all I can think of right now, and I'll be posting more pictures when I'm done

It is looking good. You may want to take some pic's of it outside in natural daylight. This is the best way to preserve the true appearance of the model.
In addition to whats already been said, I like to take a pencil and scratch some graphite off. then rub my finger tip in it and rub areas that areas that are worn like the handles, fuel tank caps, and rims of turrets. I usually do this last though after washes, drybrushing, and pastels.
Also, you probably should paint the machine gun barrel in the hull a gun metal color. I don't think it would not have been painted to match the vehicle.Good work, Steve
