This is my entry for the Abrams ID campaign...
This is the Revell 1/72 M1A1 (HA) kit with parts from Dragons M1A1 OIF kit... The ammoboxes on the rear of the turret is scratchbuild.
I had some problems with this kit... But this was only because I by accident destroyed the kit just after it was painted... So I had to order a new kit, since it was only the turret and the road vehicles I could use again!
So this is my second attempt!
This is also my second attempt in the small scale modelling…
I know the decals are looking a little shiny!
I used the Dragon kit vinyl tracks... And then I experienced something new! I painted the tracks with enamels... But the paint would not dry!!! - I cleaned the tracks and painted them again, with the same result! I the used some acrylic paint I normally use when I paint paintings... It dried, and then I could paint the tracks with enamels!
- Have anyone experienced this before???
I also posted some photos on the Central Campaign Command forum...
I've got more photos on my web site: http://www.howitzer.dk/cmodellingm1a1.html
What do you guys think?

Very well done. I built this kit and mine is no where near this good . It almost passes for 1/35th scale in my book . The only thing that I see is the doors on the GPS (gunners primary sight ) are a bit too thick , I used evergreen plastic to fix that on my tank .

Sweet!!
Its hard to add constructive crit to a build like this. I just wish the photos weren't so yellow so we could see how good the model really is.
Eduard has a photo etch set for this kit (yes, 1/72)
Good job
