This is Italeri's completed Chaffee with Eduard pe and assorted sandbags/stowage added. Many thanks to those who posted helpful comments on the in progress thread. Pin washes were added to the fender brace areas for some color enhancement, the antennae were replaced with thin wire, and the sand bags were drybrushed to remove shine. Thanks again.

Great looking model there love the paint and lots of stuff to look at. A very intersting study in OD thanks for showing it.
That 50 cal looks esp impressive. gives me something to shoot for :> hope u dont mind if I try to get that look on my next one.
the only thing i would question would be that SMG on the side of the turrent. looks like a quick traverse of the turrent could catch the stock on something and either dislodge the weapon or break it. but it looks really good. mind if i ask what color u used on the SMG stock.

Nice looking M24 Steve. You really have done a great job. Did you use any pastels or weathering powders on this at all ? I think a light dusting on the lower hull areas and suspension would be perfect. I like that last photo of the tank rear, it shows off the neat job you did on the tracks. Good to go !
Cheers !!
Alpen
PS, I thought that M24 kit looked familiar

The only problems I can find arte involving the thompson on the turret,
A. As Delbert said, the stock would break if caought on anything
B. M1's, and M1a1's thompson were rarely seen with the compensator, I suggest either sawing off the front part of the compensator, or replacing the gun,the former seems more realistic to me, as I would rarely bother to paint onother gun :-p , I shoild really belong to lazy people anonymous!
Other than that, your tank is great!
not one problem!

SteveWWH,
Hey, I can see you finish the kit. All I could say is "WOW". It looks realistic especially the shovel and the tarps. I really love it.

Steve my OD mate,
Love that beauty of a M24, love the tracks and weathering.

....Great details, like the thompson, not to sure about it being on the turret to get banged up....
Not to mention that it would get absolutely filthy hanging out there like that. It is not a good idea to leave a (your) personal weapon exposed and unattended.
Otherwise, a beauty of a build!

I am unfamiliar with the specifics of this kit. Does the .50cal come on the tripod mount or is that an aftermarket item?

Steve,,
GREAT PIECE.
I LOVE the paint. The shading and suttle tone differances look great. Highlights and
shadows are in proportion. The sandbags look good too. Did you use Epoxy?.
NOW BUILD an M41 LOL Todd
