Completed photos of the Operation Overlord group build. Pictured are the Airfix LCM Mk III landing craft, mechanized and Fujimi (ex-Nitto) M4A1 Sherman 75mm early. While the Airfix kit is currently listed as 1/72, originally it was issued as a 1/76 scale kit.
I apologize in advance for the poor photo quality. It is the best my old digital camera will do.

Nice to see a golden oldie like the LCM appearing on the pages.... I built my first when I was about 10 years old which is a LOT of years ago..... It still seems to have stood the test of time pretty well..... The M4 looks nice as well, rather better than the Airfix sherman which was issued with the LCM (still is as far as I know)...Thanks for sharing it with us...Jim

That looks like a nicely made combination, and I agree the Fujimi Sherman fits well.
Can I remind everybody to put their best pic in the Overlord campaign folder please.
Gallery - afv - campaign folders.
That way I know who's finished when it comes to June5th.

Howdy Rob,
Very nice build there sir, especially from someone who is rumoured to having never built anything! :-)
I am still impressed by any of you fellas that work in that scale. Although I must admit I am sorely tempted to try, especially since it allows you to mate your armour kits with your aircraft kits...something you cannot do with 1/35th.
Good on ya Rob! And congrats on finishing one for the Campaign!
Tread.
Oh, BTW......did you remember to completely accurize your Sherman bogies???????

I have to agree with Tread on your build Rob it looks good and to think it is braille scale too!
Tread stop complaining and start scratch building some masters for 1/35 scale wingy things that way they will match the armor (read trucks) that you wanna build. LOL
