Well, now that the AP test for physics is done, we are just doing projects, and what do you know, me and a couple of friends got assigned Siege weapons. Today my friends started work on our little project, but I could not come becuase of soccer. Our trebuchet is apparently 7 feet tall, and when firing the arm reaches aobut 14 feet! On monday we are going to finish it. I will tkae a camera and take some pictures to show you guys.

Jeez, if that's a model trebuchet then where's the rest of the diorama - like the castle....................?
Looks cool, I'd like one of them to keep the neighbours guessing; they'd think I was starting a revolution or something..

Well, after launching it at the HS football field we cut it up and it is now in storage at my friends house. If we really wanted to though, we could probably put it back together with some epoxy.
Edit- we were flinging 5 pound water ballons and bags of flour a good 50 yards. Its funny, the major constraint on how much wieght we could put in the counterwieght was not the treb itself, but the water ballons could not withstand the forces so they would explode inside the treb, though we did start to shake the thing to pieces when we added way too much wieght.
