(I've been registered here since December, but have only started really visiting and appreciating the site in the last 3-4 weeks, so I've just now discovered the campaigns.)

I have two questions, one is general and the other is specific to Overlord.

1) Do the entries have to be something that was started and finished in the period of the campaign here on AR, or can I use something I've finished previously, at least for the campaigns that are already underway? For "Move It!" I plan on building something specifically for it. But for "Incoming!" and "Overloard 2004", there isn't as much time available.

2) Speaking of Overlord, would any of the Commonwealth troops have had towed two-pounders with them? The only thing I have on the bench right now that I expect to be able to finish by the 5th is my Soveriegn 2000 Ordnance QF 2 pr.

In answer to the first question; the parameters are set by the individual Campaign/Group Build Leader(s). Sometimes, they opt to put such questions up to majority vote by the participating members in the activity.

Originally, we created the Campaign/Group Build concept to get members here excited about and into building models. Sometimes the ideas stray away from the original idea, but not too far. Entering models already or very nearly completed didn't always fit into the spirit of the concept.

Hopefully someone can answer Question Two...

Randy I would say almost positively that they did as most of the Commonwealth used the two pounder either under tow or as the gun on gun portees'.

Others here that know more about Canadian units especially may be able to tell you what units and where.

As far as part completed and finished models in campaigns I can only comment on the "moving It' campaign where it was permitted to enter a partly finished model right at the begining BUT I believe you should not enter an already finished model as it , to me, is not in the spirit of the campaign.

For instance I could enter almost my entire collection of models as they are mainly softskins.

Hope that helps

OK, I think I got the gist of it. For "Move It!", I plan on starting something in the next week or so (after I finish some stuff already on my bench). And for "Incoming!", I might still be able to get something done before the deadline. But for Overlord, the odds aren't that great for me, seeing as there are only a few weeks left.

Hi Randy,

I believe that by June 1944 the 2pdr had been entirely replaced by the 6pdr, so although there were some left in service I would doubt that they were taken to Normandy.
