Hi! Anyone interested in a campaign? This will scope the Battle of the Bulge. It will start by December 16 (in which the battle itself started). On the end date, you decide on this one. Here are my proposed rules:
-all scales involved (Allied and Axis)
-you can build any figure, tank, aircraft and/or diorama that you like, provided that you only build one for each category (e.g. a single Sherman for the armor category)
-there will be four categories: figures, aircraft, diorama and armor in which there will also be 4 different medals in which you can all have if you complete all categories
-for 1/35th figures, the minimum limit is 3 figures.
-the kits used in the diorama category must not be exactly the same model used in other categories (which means, you cannot use the Jumbo Sherman you've presented in the armor category and add it up to the diorama)
This is just a proposal. I just want your comments. Since it's the 60th anniversary of D-Day, might as well present the Ardennes offensive.

The start date sounds acceptable to me.
Will give me time to finish other projects.

Update!!!
The figure limit has been reduced to 3 figures. You can use the figs from the Tamiya M4A3 "Frontline Breaktrough" and you will come up with two models for figure and armor categories. Just an idea...

Sounds interesting Shonen. I probably will take part, but will confirm closer to the time.
You might want to check with Jim first, if this is possible. Another campaign had this idea, and I think there was a problem. Dont know for sure.

I'm in, but I may have to start early. Let me explain. My next project after the Operation Abrams ID campaign is an M4A3 (105) (HVSS) of Tamiya's 1/35 Frontline series. I start college in August, so I'll will be able to continue modelling for only a little while longer until things settle down. Maybe push up the start date and end on Dec 16 or early Jan at the end of the battle. Just a thought. If not, I'm still building the Sherman, so others can consider my thoughts and recommendations of the model that I plan to post a preview to the campaign.

If there is an issues with four badges, why not just make one base badge & add a star(or something) to it for each category completed ?
Why not have build dates bracket the Bulge period, maybe starting mid-late Nov and run 3-4 months following ? By 16 Dec, it's into Xmas & all, so nothing will happen till the new year. The wife will get all spun up, the kids will come in, etc, etc .... Bah Humbug !!!!
I'd like in, but won't commit to "what" for a while, although the wheels are churning ....

When you lock in some dates I will more than likely do it. Just bought a cheap Sherman 105mm that could use a whitewash. I can shuffle the order of my build schedule to
1) LVT for fun
2) Beep for Softskins Campaign
3) Sherman 105 for Bulge Campaign
Just you watch. As soon as I decide to start with my LVT first someone will request an Island Hopping Campaign for Iwo Jima or Okinawa and I'll have to get another Marine kit.

Ok, let's talk about the date first. Would 4 months be ok? When do you want to start? I guess a lot would be away this Christmas. Any ideas? If I put it in an earlier date, we may not be able to finish all of them since Move It, Incoming is already in progress while Project X and the others are on its way. How bout we start it by January then end up in April?
