I'm working on a 25 pdr and was wondering if anyone knew the unit markings for the RCHA in NW Europe 44-45. Don't know if it was 1 or 2 horse. (and don't get me going on RCHA vs RCA...still haven't figgered that out even after 40+ years )
Thanks in advance
Dave

I can narrow it down to 1RCHA, serving with the 1st Canadian Division September 1944. All my normal sources don't give me the markings for them though. Sorry. I'll keep looking.
You could also try asking the question on

A lot of Canadian military veterans use the forum, and would probably have access to this information.

1st Field RCHA in 1944 was with 1 Div in italy.
Marking was 42 in the red over blue square.
It doesn't apear that there were any other RCHA units fielded in WW II.
This info was taken from Barry Beldam's multi-part book on Canadian Vehicle Markings.
