Well after the post before I got some really good Feedback and I have completely rusted up the gun. and I have pics of it. They might not be the best around but they`ll do.
In some of the pics you see the guy I converted to be one of the excavators. It is a figure from MK35 but the clothes this guy wore were a hype in 1930 for the last time and made him a bit more modern by giving him a T-shirt and replacing his head by a Verlinden one without a headpiece.
Well here are the pics let me know what you think about it.

Ok now comes a fun part: I myself have a little nice idea for what I put on the guys shirt but......... I want to ask you if you have a cool, nice or funny idea for the guy on his shirt please say so... if the idea you offer is better then the idea I have then that one I choose.

All feedback is welcome

Robert,

I really like this. The rust is outstanding and the rotten tires look like, well, rotten tires. Great job on another unusual subject.
Shaun

My shirt idea, probably next to impossible to do in 1/35th, but funny never the less.

Hehehe I already thought when posting my question how long it would take till somebody would say that. Well the timeframe in wich my dio plays is Pre Armorama (I should have said that in the first post..)

Well indeed it is a fun idea but I`m not that good in this small painting stuff plus the fact that will it still be readable when painted that small??

Thanks for the suggestions. .I`m really curious what other members come up with

You could paint his shirt red and white to look like an arsenal shirt as there called the gunners.and you also could make him a groundsman at highbury and he has just dug it up.just a thought

You really "dug up" a great theme for a small Dio. You have a very vivid imagination my friend. A very good example of the lost war artifact. Bravo!!

Olaaaa People

Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate them.
About the Shirt
Costas You know you never are going to dig a rusty thing out of the ground in an Ajax Shirt Not even when it`s 30 years old foll of holes and whatever you simply don`t do any digging with an Ajax Shirt Nontheless the idea was good.

And the good old armorama logo as a couple of you mentioned.. I really have to think about that.

Engin An orange T-shirt would be quite good actually as they play like Sh@t I think everybody At the European Championship is able to win from Holland. An orange soccer shirt is not more then appropriate for this guy .............. Let me think about that too.

Robert I really love the way this is coming together. I love the rusting and the concept is grand. As for a shirt idea I don't have a clue, but I can't wait to see what you come up with. Cheers Kevin

you are gonna repaint the tire right? or do they also rust?

about the football shirts no way.

you cant put a soccer shirt in such a nice dio. just an armorama shirt or just blue with white stripes!

or something doesn't really matter great gun!

Yup all that is painted now are the metal parts of the gun the Rubber parts will be painted in different color

As for the shirt idea I haven`t heard a thing that is nicer then my own idea. Sure an Armorama shirt is nice but I`m sure you people can be more imaginative

Rust never looked so good Faust .

How about writing "Jake's Undertakers" or "Happy"s Burial Home" on the back of his shirt. He could be a grave digger and was digging a grave when he came across the Pak. Of course he would have to be digging a really big grave for a super fat person to uncover the whole gun.

You could then give the dio title as "All That is buried Ain't Necessarily Dead" or "Always remember to Grease Your Barrel Before Burying Your Gun".

Don`t worry mate today I made his colleague. They only need a little paint but the guy in the picture is not longer alone.

That indeed would be the grave of King Kong to discover this gun :-) :-)

Though the names you provide are good the Name for the dio is chosen just before I started this project and the title will simply be: "Rebirth" wich has something to do with the fact that beside this dio another 7 will be built telling the story of the 37mm PAK. The complete series will be called: The Cycle Of life
