Got it done.
As requested, here is the low-down:
Started with the Warriors chaplain set, built and painted the figure., no biggie. I added a Archer dry transfer 1st ID patch, to qualify him for the build.
The base is from Italeri..."villiage fountain" or some such. I added some "water" to the basin using future floor polish and pigments to make the water look less than desirable...heh heh.
Finally, I added a Tamiya helmet with a paper strap. I also added the white cross to the rear of the helmet.
Added point - for June 6th+ it would be "ordinary time" inthe church, which means a green stole around the neck. If it had "pentacost" (basically the 50 days after Easter) then it would have been a red stole. No white...
That's what I get for being married to a minister.
and yes, I plan to make it into more of a diorama by adding the kneeling GI and it is also a gif t for my wife as well....it was her B-day on the 3rd.

A really evocative build for this occasion - as I view this on the PC-screen all the heads of state are gathering in France for todays services of commemoration....................I really like this one.
