Ola People

Last two days I have done some nice things for my excavation dio with the 37 mm PAK. And I show you the progress:
First I finished converting the second fig for the dio. I took a kneeling figure from DML and sanded and viled everything off until I had a very thin figure and I basically built the Clothes around it. Here is the figure:

In the middle pic there are also two things visible that I made. A scratchbuilt Pepsibottle wich looks a bit odd with the beverage in it but with the piece of paper in place it will look ok. And the Squeezebottle an unmissable piece in every excavation.

Another thing I made today is this very cool Metal Detector. I took a picture off the Internet and simply started scratchbuilding. I`m very satisfied with how it came out.:

Well and an overhead shot of all the stuff of the last two days:

More pics can be found Here

Let me know what you guys think of it.

I knew it was going to be a great project when you first introduced it. Eveyrone else I believe is building something big, bad and booming for Incoming and you had to go and build one in it's worse possible condition!! Now that's creativity at it's best!!

Hehehe Sure it is fun to built a vehicle complete with only minor damage but for me it is more fun to try to go further in that. I like to experiment and all projects I do I will try something new. This was my first project with a rusty thing and showing Damage of an explosion. Also scratchbuilding numerous Items you would expect in an Excavation and of course converting your own figures wich is a new frontier for me too.
I simply like doing weird

I made the clothes out of Miliput. Not the stuff in the tube but the Clay like stuff you need to mix. I first sanded the figure down so I had a really thin figure in the pose I wanted it to be. And then sculpted the clothes around it.

And I started on the groundworks too.
And I made a Etiket for the Pepsi Bottle the year is 1998 and in the summer. The Time where the World Championship soccer was played in France Since I didn`t have an etiket of that I made one with the help of Engin (graywolf) who delivered me the Pepsie logo. Here it is

*note this thing is a bit smaller then it appears here for the bottle in the dio the Etiket is only 7 mm High

Robert - great work. Very good conversion. This diorama is taking great shape.

Two tweaks I would offer (use at your own descrition)
The kneeling figure's left shirt sleeve seems to billow out to much (IMHO). I would shallow out the back side of his sleeve nearest his arm pit.
The back of his right leg could taper in a bit more. The creases at his right knee (back side) should be a bit deeper and a bit 'rounder'

Yesterday I have been around this figure with a ile and sanded a lot of extra putty away. Stuff that made the figure look a little too big. It sure looks a lot better now.

Danny this option came up in an Earlier update and besides the idea is funny it is not as good as the idea I have for it. Plus the fact that this dio plays in a Time there was no Armorama Around.
