So, this is my first english post up here (please don't mind about grammatical errors) so I'll do a short introduction
I'm Jurjen from the Netherlands, 18 years old and I'm a student.
This is my first tank which I tried to impove by home-made things. It was also the first time that I bought a Modelkasten set. I made the following improvements:
-Replaced kit-tracks by Modelkasten
-Damaged the roadwheels
-Added electric wires to the headlights
-Added fuelpipes
-Replaced turret handles
-Replaced Exhaust outlet by on of 'aluminium folie'
-And some other improvements
So enjoy the foto's and please let me know your comments
(sorry for the Dutch-English but I tried my best )
Greetings Jurjen

Looking good mate!!! Is that wire mesh included in the box? The bullet holes look quite big to me. The AM tracks looks quite the same as the kit tracks. Are they indy or once piece vinyl?

Nope, that wire mesh is not included. And yes, the kit-tracks are exellent but I used the AM set because of their natural looking sag. What bullet holes do you mean?:) And what are indy tracks (my vocabulary is nihil) Thanks for your comment
O another question: I used for the first time CA but what are those white spots near the handles, how do they exist?

Ooppsss.... I thought the white spots are the bullet holes. Ok, because you've used CA, I can safely say that you put too much of it. Too much CA will cause whitening.
Try this technique when using CA especially when dealing with very small parts to be glued:
1. Use a toothpick to grab a small drop of CA from the container. That toothpick now had some CA in it.
2. Then use that to add CA to the edges of handles.
Indy tracks - individual pieces of tracks. Dragon/DML kits are fond of these.

You did very well on your english, some of us english people can not do that well sometimes either.
I was just about to put my T-55 back in the closet because I was not ready for super-detail yet.
Your T-55 has given me some hope, I think your kit is great; lots of detail. Very nice close ups on the detail to show some impressive work you did. I hope mine comes out that good.
What era are you going to paint it in.
Happy Modeling

Great job Jurjen, especially for a first tank! However, I think there should be more sag on the tracks- add 1 or 2 links. Other than that, the thing looks great and the white marks from CA are nothing to worry about - they won't show up on the finished model.

Really nice looking work Jurjen. A very impressive looking beast wouldn't you say? I've got one sitting on the shelf and I am looking forward to putting it together sometime.
Like said earlier, I wouldn't worry about the white marks for the glue, just be a little more conservative with it next time.
Also I agree with statement about the track sag. They look great, but I think one more link would be perfect. Here are a few examples:
By the way, your English is very good.

Thanks for the positive comments After my K5 disaster I'm very happy that this T-55 is going fine. Thanks for the tips and I used them to improve this tank further. I put one link extra to the tracks and it looks more better
.....So I think it is almost ready for painting. At least, thats my opinion. My airbrusch is again!. Damm Aztek ......
Hihi, I wasn't ready for super-detail either. But I just tried and it came out very well due to the outstanding article in Model Magazine. It is just amazing that it is possible to increase your modellingskills by an article. I'm very happy with the end result, I had never expected that it turned out like this
You should try too
