Hey Guy's,
Here are a few quick update shots of where I am on the Vc Firefly. I am no where near done the weathering yet guys so please dont tell me to muck it up This is a gem of a kit ootb but the addition of the Formations resin and the Aber pe coupled with the RHPS tracks make this a show stopper. Comments are always welcome.
cheers,
Bryan

That thing is looking awesome, the dry brushing came out really well. I think a very light wash would make it really pop. Congrats

WOW. Your Firefly Vc is coming along fantastic I love that shade of Khaki Drab, what color did you use ?
Weathering and drybrushing is just right. Tools look great as do the markings. Stowage looks cool, as do the spare tracks. Tracks themselves look good too. I really like the headlights, did those come with the kit, or are they MV lenses ?
Are you planning a crew ? The new Alpine Miniatures British tanker would be perfect for the commanders hatch
Send more pics when you can.
Cheers !!

Hey Bryan ..I see you are working harder on yours than I am on mine ...Weathering is well on the way ..Looks great ...Decals look good ,but you made a boo boo there ...Firefly bridge weight was 33 tons and not 30 like other shermans..so it should be 33 in the yellow circle . One last thing the crew was cut to 4 in the firefly and there was no assistant driver ..so there shouldn't be an open periscope ...Hey I might be wrong there but I think it would just be a waste. Keep up the good work . Sorry I didn't notice that periscope before you painted ...Damn!

Thanks for all the kind words guys ! Rick you are absolutely right about the bridge weight at 33 tons as opposed to the standard 30t of normal Shermans. I used an aftermarket set without questioning it. My bad I am digging into this one a bit more before I change it to a 33 You are also right about the crew reduction to 4 pers. I have been lead to believe that even though there was ammo stored in the co drivers position the periscope could be left in. This could be wrong and of course I cant find a pic of it to save my life but I think its staying open non the less If it wasnt for input like this there would be no point in posting at all. .Thanks for the help Rick.

Bryan
