I just happened to catch sight of these in the lastest images in the gallery. I emailed you to ask about showcasing them in an OnDisplay feature. If you'd like us to do that please let myself or Scott (slodder) know.
This is an amazing project. I can really see the 5 years of work! How long did you spend researching this?
Cheers,
Jim

Of course, I´m very glad to see my pictures in a On Display, thank you very much. And about the five years, not of work, of course, sometimes 3-6 months without "production". But it´s true that this is my first diorama finished, the first figures painted with acrilics, the first time with cammo uniforms, water, jungle, etc... Well, I hope I´ll finished a new dio the next september (a patrol of Seals with a VC prisioners).

...what can i say, i love it!
all that dense foliage, the VC hiding, the detail in the figures, its awsume.
I do have a few questions though.
#1- is it correct that the Seals would be wearing those chopper pilot gloves, or was this simply needed as those arms fit the M60 perfectly
and
#2- would it be correct that the driver of the boat would be wearing a chopper pilots helmet?
cheers, it really is excellent!

I agree with Mark 110% The amount of foliage is what really got me, but the whole thing is just flawless. OMG, you can actually see kudzu stuff growing on that fence; LEAVES AND ALL!!! As far as your first time with all of that, COME ON!!! You gotta be pulling my leg :-) If that's your first one, I can't wait to see what you turn out in a few more years BTW, could you maybe do a feature on what all you used for the foliage? I have to have that recipe.

Your work is so good, I would offer to have you send it to me so I can get it entered, if our local IPMS group does, indeed, host the USA Nationals in 2006, so it can be displayed. It'll beat the pants off my entry, but something like yours should be seen and admired by more people.

Thanks for your kind comments
Well, about us air force gloves, errrrr, uhmmmm, yes, I choose then because they fit great on M-60, but I believe that just that kind of gloves were a much codiciated item (for special forces like LRRP and so), so why not the gunner exchange a VC Ak-47 for a pair of gloves of a chopper man of HAL-3 Seawolf (the air scort for seals) for instance ????. Thats my little artistic license.
And about the helo helmet, it was no uncommon to be used for pilots of this kind of boats (I have some pictures of pilot of Lssc´s with this helmet), and look great too¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
