Hey guys!
I want to build the 27th Canadian Armoured Regiment, 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade from the DML Kit 6121.
But I have a few Questions and I am sure you can help me!
Is the building instruction correct for this Firefly?
Are there any photos about this tank, I only knew that it was destroyed by tanks of the 12. SS Panzerdivision.
Are the decals correct? My book where is a drawing of this tank shows that the '22' on the basket have a different form.
I hope you will help me soon
If you have other pics or links of Canadian Firefly use in WW2 this would help me, too! Maybe I build another one.

I don't have any specific info on Canadian Fireflies, but you could try asking here:

It's where I get a lot of my truck info. - good guys, kinda like Armorama with real vehicles!

Looks like a nice clean build. My only suggestion is the decals, especially serial number on the side. In a couple of your shots you can see the material that makes up the decal, so it doesn't look like it's painted. You my try some of the decal setting solutions, like Micro Set/Micro Sol to get it to look more like it's painted on.
Your tank doesn't seem to be weathered much, but that's fine by me. Some people like models that look almost factory fresh. To each their own.

Nice build. Did you use a gloss coat under the decals? If you do then they look more 'painted', then a matt coat over them . Otherwise a well built model.

Hey guys!
Nice that you like it!
Because this tank was destroyed by Pz IVs of the 12. SS on the 7th of June I think its not necessary to weather it as much as I can
Only one day in action wouldn't gone him dirrrty
The only thing I did was a Oilpaint coat and dust on the suspensions.
I used some vinegar for the decals, it works with the Italeri ones, but my luck has gone! I will buy some Micro Sol as fast as possible! Of course a gloss coat under and a matt coat over, but it sucks anyway!

remember to paint the spare tracks on the hull a different colour. as for weathering its your kit so feel free to do whatever but also remmeber that the tank would have come up off the beach and soil would have been soft due to the recent rainfall and these tanks would have been stood outside and moving around the UK before being shipped to France so a bit of dry brushing and light dusting /mud wouldnt go a miss
