I think this I posted too much views. Tell me if I did then I'll take some of 'em off. This my first entry for the Move It campaign. The figures aren't that good. what can I say. This is an old Tamiya box from a 1975 mold. the other two in shorts are from the Bren Carrier. I hope this passes for average. Next one is either a modified M35 of a Krupp Protze.

that is very well done. The only thing I saw missing is the 4 gal square british type water containers, apart from that I would be proud to display it on my shelf.

cheers

Excellent work! good model, shading, weathering...

one thing i dont like is that (for my taste) dio base is too small, it kinnda makes the model "pressed"

But its just me and the rest of the work is very good!

cheers

this is a nice build on the old good LRDG . the weathering looks good and the geberal build also good. Some more work is needed on the figures painting regarding shadowing , highlighting washes and weathering . Nice theme ..

very nice but there are few things that you should take into account. first of all is the canteens, they are painted in a metal colour but these were covered with a sand coloured cloth, the metal would shine when the sun hit it, as well as becoming very hot during the day!

secind, you could add more stowae items too the rear of the vehicle, all the pictures and personal accounts i have seen and heard state that these vehicles were laoded to burtsing point...they had extra walls that they could add too the sides o the vehicles to help contain their loads called "Greedy Boards".

You have done an excellent job of weathering the vehicle but what about the British troops, they appear to be very clean...you could add a few pain chips to their helmets and dust them up a little.

just a thought

I did have doubts about the canteens but so far Tamiyas instructions are to paint it aluminum and I've seen a couple of dios with the same finish. The figures are actually horrible. Old molds from Tamiya. I became too lazy to finish them. I did make some modifications like bend the legs, change the arms etc. Anyway, I did expect these comments on the figs.

About the stowage.

Obviously some are still on the ground.

Pastels are really nice to work with.

THanks man.

Hi,

I think you did a really nice job on the vehicle. You did not have much to work with on that figure set, as they are really rough. One nitpick... the British steel helmet had a khaki, elastisized chinstrap (the "type II, I believe was it's designation). No brown leather helmet straps on British helmets in WWII. :-)

Firstly, Sorry 'bout the foul word.

Thanks for the comments guys. Shame about the figures though. I should've done better. There are just days that your not in the mood for a million reasons.

News about this peice of work. I'm actually giving it away.

What!

Not to any one of you here. A friend of mine who commissions me to paint some of his figures, is leaving Saudi Arabia For good (we both work here) sometime soon. He's a Brit from Manchester. Since he is a Brit, surely he would love to have this. Too bad all these terrorist blah is happening in our backyard. Last one was only 1 click away.
