From one Canuck to another....would love to see this when finished!!!
HEHE...maybe you should make a resin conversion kit and market it to the rest of us that don't have the scratchbuilding skills.....HINT, HINT!!
That other pic isn't a Bison however, but a LAVIII

Hi Marcel,
I choose the LAV-M for a basis because it provide the raise commander cupola and the large rear hatch.I'm working with LOTS of pics (i also want to scratchbuilt the interior ) and i used George Bradford's drawings for template. The vehicle i build is the APC version, but i want to reproduce some other version of the Bison in the future.

Hi Marcel,
Sorry i think i did not say it was in french...but i place a translator at the top left corner. When you click on the english flag in the babel logo, the website will be translate in english.
Yes, the rear hatch has to be use for the Bison.I think it's the only LAV version that provide this hatch.
Since my site is relatively new, i have lot of things on the bench for the site, and Bison pictures are part of them, but it's a lot of work and i miss time at this moment!!
As for the ADATS, i agree with you it's a nice vehicle ! And i saw a complete scratchbuilt in 1/35 of it somewhere..i can try to locate it and post the pic here.

Hey, Luc
Here is as far as I got with my Bison. It's been like this for a few years now! I think I'll get busy now and try to finish it. I used the Italeri LAV-TOW kit (LAV-M wasn't out yet), had to scratch the upper hatches. Rear hatch is fun to build - not! Of course, MLM tires. Most of the hard stuff is done, shouldn't be hard to finish up.
Paul - great job on yours!
Cheers,
Jim

Hi Jim,
You're Bison is on the right way!! Cool looking !! How was the muffler ?? a pain ?? Seeing the hard work you've done, i consider myself lucky that the LAV-M kit is now available !! What was your reference?? Can't wait to see it painted.
Keep me updated with your progression

Hi Paul,
I have seen the pics on your site before. As you agree i will put them in my site's gallery with link to your site.
Now i would love to have those pictures of the ENGR variant if it's possible!
What can I do for you in exchange? Tomorow i will make a trip to the Three-Rivers Regiment(tank) (now the 12th Canadian Armour Regiment)to take some pics of the Lynx and the Firefly they have on display. Also i will take some photos of items in the regiment museum. Is there something you can need ??

Luc,
Reference was mostly from my own photos combined with Bradford's drawings. I made the muffler IIRC by cutting the kit muffler down a bit (shorter) and wrapping a piece of .010" styrene around it to bulk it up a bit. The pipe was made by gently heating and bending a piece of kit sprue and drilling out the end. Seems to me I had to make about 3 before I got one that looked good (typical scratchbuilding!). The metal guard in front was made with aluminum pie plate material, with holes punched from a punch and die. (also took several tries to get one right!)

I'll scan the photos sometime this week. they are all LETE design photos. I' have all the external shots of a LYNX i need. If you can get inside it, I wouldn't mind some internal photos.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with my Bison project. I'll be picking up a LAV 25 M this weekend. I have a lot of pics. All I need is specs and measurements. The ramp, should I use a ramp from a M113? And I'll be ordering my wheels from MLM.
Thanks
Eric

Eric,
The ramp on an M113 is totally diferent than that on a Bison. You are goinf to have to scratchbuild it. Send me your snail mail address and i can send you some drawings.
