The suble dust and mud look good to me, but to be honest, I can't tell there's a wash at all. For a grey tank, go with a Payne's grey (oil) or black wash, then hit the high points with some lightened Panzer Grey drybrushing.
Also, it's better to use a neutral backgound, rather than the boxtop. The second picture is too busy and the box art starts to blend into the tank, giving a very weird effect.

Looks pretty good. Al has some good points. I also like the dried mud effects. Looks realistic. I would also suggest using some pastels to lighten the paint color on top the turret and hull where crew traffic is likely.

I can't really see a wash effect, either. The mud looks good, though, but I would extend it more up on the chassis, especially in back. As for wear spots, try rubbing Graphite in the appropriate places, and scribing the hatch lines, etc. with a pencil point.

Hi Tiger. Firstly ... my monitor doesnt show any red, so colours are a little bland and I cant give and accurate comment there.
What I see is .... base coat only. No washes show through at all .. and thats nothing to do with the monitor. On a base colour thats so dark, I would use black for defining, a really dark brown for the weathered effect and maybe some raw sienna pin washes around detail to give the effect of wear and tear. A very light dry brush with base colour and dark yellow would also pick out any high details nicely. Some touches with a gun metal and rust coloured chips also define lines nicley as well as adding to the weathered effect. If you have an airbrush.. its a good idea to lighten the base colour and lightly spray the centres of all panels. This gives a really nice faded effect and also adds a lot of depth ...this is known as pre-shading.
The mud/dust is only one colour. When adding mud, its a good idea to dry brush it a few different mud colours, and even give it a wash to add depth to it also. When overspraying with the dust effect, go very lightly over the mud, so that the dust is visible, but also the mud colouring should show through. Thats why the the dusting should be very thin, to allow you to do this. Take the dusting higher as well, even covering the whole vehicle. This blends all together.
Go to the painting forum and look through the threads menu, there are some great threads describing a lot of these methods in more detail.

Weathering is a question of personal taste. Some like to weather more than others. Try something new with each model and keep adding to your skills. I love the weathered look, but one thing I belive is very important ... the weathering should never hide any detail.. it should enhance it. So with what you have done here, it is easy to add more and build up to what you like, but if you over-weather its harder to fix.
Good luck.

Try dark brown wash or dark earth colour. Now It looks like without wash.

I agree with the wash needs to be more darker. But the Tank looks impressive you going to do any dio with it..

The drybrushing makes the wash I think because it helps make it 3-D almost. It helps fool the eyes to believe there is a shadow there.

You going to do any fading on the places where there used more often.

Happy Modeling

It looks really good, but it is certainly too pristine. You have to mix it up a little and make it more weathered. It is just too clean (to me.)
Ciao for now
