What do you think of the Shermie build so far? I started my Tiger. Encounter some minor issues on the upper and lower hull not being square. Going to build the turret tonight. Have to see whether the exhaust and stuff on the rear deck should be painted before going on. If not I can probably get that done tonight and the first basecoat spray on too.

My washes are just thinned out black. Bet you think those Shermie wheels are a snap and quicker to build when compared to those Tiger wheels!!!
I will consider posting some pics but I want to get a little more progress.

Very clean and even looking basecoat. Good starting point for the weathering process . I would spray a coat of dullcoat on it now to protect it throught the washing stage. Some good pin washes of Raw Umber oil paint will give you the shaded look your after and also a dirty appearance as well. Try varying the thickness of the wash in certain areas to acheive more "depth". I hope your skids arent glued down too well as they appear backwards in the pic. Other than that good job.
{edit: I just noticed Rick pointed out the skids, sorry didnt mean to repeat it}
Cheers,
Bryan

How the heck did he do that? It's all one piece. Or is that Formations new straight arm kit? Hard to tell in the dark pic

Hey Alan,
They are seperately molded pieces on the Dml Kit. The new FF has the straight arms as well. HTH
cheers,
Bryan

Ah I have not built the newest Firefly. In the old ones they are a single piece, well two halves but the skid is already attached.

Another thing I noticed (sorry ) is the sizable joint between parts of the turret under the pistol port ..This should be smoothed out.There is no joint there what so ever.
