If anyone has been following the build up in the armor section of this tank here is the odd version. Thought I would throw a post here to possibly get some tips..Always looking for ways to improve..Thanks for looking..fire at will So far some weathering..all in oils..a first for me! Still have tracks to do, dry brush, touch ups...you get the picture..a ways to go!

Looking a lot better John. Add a couple more subtle shades of grey and she should be ready for some dirt/dust.

I think the tracks are too smooth for that much rust, I would add some texture to it.However, that is one nice looking T-34

Looking better all of the time!!!! Here are my suggestions:
Add drybrushed metallic highlights to the whole tank, and especially to the tracks, where they would have had wear patterns.
Add black shadows to the tracks like you have done to the engine vents.
Add a wash of raw or burnt umber to the tank, it looks good like rust, mud, etc...
Add rust, grease, oil, grime to the road wheels.
Keep going! Its looks awesome!!!

Thanks all, The tracks are next with washes, alot of touching up to do , basically the "body" has only been started...thanks for the tips, will do!

I think the belts holding the ice cleats might "flex" off the white paint on em.I would paint them a bit leatherish.
