Lord Flitzer

Congrats on this great Pig in a Pile model. Beautiful camo job. Care to share how you accomplished it?

Thanks.

How did you do the camo?

If you remember Shonen, I had a problem when the first future application ate some of the surfaces after painting so I had to wet and dry the whole thing then retouch. Thankfully the second attempt at futuring went well enough.

The camo was done using the reverse mask technique.
Pre-future.
First I sprayed the white then using "blu-tac" blobs masked the upper surfaces then added the grey. Then more "blu-tac" blobs and the last RLM76 colour. Masked it off and did the underside.
It needed a fair bit of retouching with very diluted shades of the three colours.
I also used the indelible marker for pre-shading.
Chalk pastels to finish.

Considering the massive problems with the first future I'm quite happy with it, although with more time...lol....I could blend in the tyres colours a little better and maybe add a loop antenae on the fuselage spine and a pitot tube and probably the wing tip lights.
...maybe later.

Cheers
Peter.
