Hi all this is my entry for the Move it! campaign.
This funny/odd "fully loaded" vehicle with the rear seats removed was in service with the Gruppo Esplorante 3° Cavalieri of the Italian Cavalry in the late 40s.
I hope you like it...

Very nice indeed Fabio. I enjoy seeing some of the lesser known examples that you have been building. I have never seen this vehicle before. You did a Fabio good job on this one. Thank you for sharing it with us. Bravo and three cheers

Absolutely brilliant Fabio - was this a conversion or a scratchbuild?
I started building a C15T armored CMP and just could not get the angles on the nose right........

First of all thanks very much for your kind words!!!
I was surprised as you are about "discovering" this vehicle and it took something like a year to find out what it was and another eighteen months before being able to get a kit of it
It's a resin kit from Wespe Models (a Rumanian manufacturer if I remember well). At the very beginning I thought it was a kind of "instant model" but it needed quite a bit of work to convert it to the version used by the Italian Army and to fix a lot of problems due to poor moulding/casting. Many parts needed scratchbuilding like the exhaust, the steering wheel, the dashboard, the pedals, the various levers (that where also wrongly positioned). But all in all it was fun even if it took much more time than forecasted. Anyway the kit was a very good starting base.
Cliff, I'm very sorry about causing you so many problems. By the way if one day I'll be back to Australia (I've been there for the Olympics) be sure that I'll buy you a nice drink!!!
Thanks a lot once more
Ciao

you would be more then welcomed if you are ever up my way Fabio. As for problems I have enough of them to sink a ship with just Australian WW2 trucks. You know it is trying to decide what one to do next! :-)
