Bingo. Alone against all odds might describe me finishing this campaign as work is sending me away again this week. But I intend to be there at the end - maybe just not with the original grand idea.

Well here is my contribution - entry to the campaign
A Spartan Officer in the battle of Thermopyles 480 B.C. where 300 really brave Spartans fought till all death against 20.000 and more enemies . They knew they d die but they never retreat, and killed as many as they could ."Agains all odds" describes perfectly the situation.
I wanna thanks Neil for leading the campaign. The idea is wonderfull and i promiss that i ll be fight agains my odds to make one more contri . i f i can have some 2-3 figures i need .
Thanks and congrats to all guys that participate .
Pictures :
As the rules say , some more on the build :
The bust is Athens miniatures 1/10 metal bust sculpted by Costas Kariotellis.
Bets sculpting , mold, perfect surfaces and all. 3 pieces was it. the main body and 2 pieces on the helmet.
The bust has a good historical documentation and 5 coloured pivtures around to help painting. perfect choice, rates about 50 euros i think (i dont know exactly , cause this won of my prizes as an Athens International Competition winner so ...)
Was all painted in Valejo and Andrea acrylics.
mixes used :
Flesh: Sunny skintone, English khaki, vermillion, light flesh, burnt umber
Shadow: base + english khaki and burnt umber
Highlights: base + sunny skintone and light flesh
Hiton clothing : Dark red, vermillion, smoke, burnt umber
Shadows: base +dark red and smoke
highlight: vermillion and light flesh
Metal parts: Old gold, gold, bronze smoke.
Highlights: gold
Shadows:old gold +smoke
Helmet horsehair:
base same as hiton, washes with base+smoke, highlights with vermillion + sunny skintone and high highlights vermillion light flesh and yellow
No specific problems on that very good sculpture
I hope some time in future i paint it again to make it better .
Check others Athens miniatures figures guys . 65 mm about 28-31 euros each , perfect sculpting , nice boxing and colour pictures walkaround the painted figure to help u

I got a better one. How about a lone heroic suicide bomber Jihadist against a bus full of Israeli schoolchildren.
