This was back-dated from MP Models M50 kit, with the engine deck changed to an M4A3 item, and the turret from the Italeri M4A1. The hull bothers me a bit,as it is obviously an early type but my info was that the M50 was based on the M4A3E8 as well as the M4A1 and M4A4, so here goes:

did you scratch build the extra armor on the hull?
I have DML's Easy 8 Korean war which I want to convert to an uparmored WWII vehicle.

All the extra armour and netting are added as in Steve Zaloga's article in Military Modelling. Plastic card and grill mesh left over from other kits.
