Dave
Another great looking Sherman What do you mean by early diesel? Did you have to change out the engine deck and exhaust plate on this? Would love to see some pics of that area
Also what color is it? I plan on doing an early M50,but on the composite hull I'm also at a loss as to what color to use for French version of olive drab

The engine deck was change for one of the two in the M50 kit - these were a flat deck with grill (not used in the kit but labelled in a note on the instruction sheet as used for the early version)and the more familar M51 type. The rear plate in the M50 kit looks the same as a standard rear plate but with no air filters and visible exhaust pipes, again noted on the M50 instructions as 'early type'.
The colour is grey auto primer and is a reasonable match for the vehicle in the IDF Museum.
I'm being careful with gallery space with so many campaign entries in it, and I can't afford A-Guard membership at the moment, so this pic will have to do I'm afraid.
BTW - the tracks on my model are from the Revell USMC Sherman, as this is the type on the museum exhibit.

Thanks for the reply Dave Would you happen to have a link for pics of that vehicle? I've done a search and haven't been able to find any good rear hull pics
