Hey everybody! I am about half-way through my Revell 1/72 Challenger build. It has been a really fun/problem free build so far. I have added a few scratch - built details, nothing fancy though. I added a cover to the commander's sight, front door on the right side turret box, and I had to rebuild the bustle racks. The kit racks were moulded as solid pieces with recessed mesh detail on them. I used these pieces as a guide, and scratch new ones out of plastic strip and PE mesh. I plan on finishing it in typical British light olive and black. Comments welcome

Nice build Iron!!
I especially like the racks you built.. the ones supplied with the kit are really useless...Are you planning on putting tarpaulin over the racks? (The box-art shows the Chall.'s racks with some covers over them)?

I was not sure how big 1/72 scale was and you helped me understand how big they are.
I might try one just for fun and see what happens.
Yours is coming along nicely; what colour are you going to paint it.
Thanks
Happy Modeling

These 1/72 kits are really looking nice. I may have to pick a few up.

UPDATE: All together and painted a mix of MM Acryl dark green and armor sand to get the light olive base coat. MM Acryl aircraft int. black used for the camo patteren. I still need to add decals, wash, dirt/dust, and dry-brush. Thanks for the comments so far!
