Hi guys:
This is the Italeri kit of the Early Tiger I. Know I think it´s finished , I guess... It´s an OOB build.
My last post of this project was on 19th June, it took me a lot of time to finish it because i´m in other modelling projects too.
Hope you like it, critics will be Ok.

I would like to know more about the tracks. I have my Tiger sitting around awaiting a set of Fruils I ordered becaue I didn't like the way the kit tracks looked. Are you satisfied with the kit tracks?

Hi Alan:
The tracks are the kit one´s. As they come they´re wrong, I think they are the late type. To make them look like they are now It took me a lot of work
First I build them as they came. Then I sanded them to erase the raised detail and filled the space between the tracks with putty to simulate mud.
I´m happy with the result because I saw some pics of Tigers in a soft muddy terrain and they look similar to what I obtained with these tracks.
I didn´t want to invest in a pair of AM tracks in this kit, here in my countrie they are very, very expensive.

Nice tiger carlos. I like the weathering. The tracks have come out nice and the mud look good. I would go over the high points on the track with some metalizing method though. Between the tracks is fairly usual to see mud caked in, but on the tracks peaks, you can usually see the bare track.
I guess any method would work here .. graphite pencil, painting, etc.
Nice damage to the fenders and I usually build OOB mostly as well, and the addition of the grills on the back are needed IMO. Are they the tamiya zoom set?

Carlos
Good looking Tiger here. The overall weathering from the tracks, to the top of the turret, is really tied together well and very believable and authentic. It looks good.
The fender damage and shell pock marks on the armor are all nice touches that personalize this oob build.
This one is a keeper.

Nice job ...I like the weathering and I have noticed alot of modifications from the original kit to make it more accurate ..Other than the upside down tool box ...I would drill out the air intake tubes on what is left of the feifel system and the other little thing I noticed is the joint from the hull side and rear plate is kinda wide ..nothing much there just a nit pick.. Good solid build on a so so kit ...Congrats.

Thanks to all for the coments.
Frank: the grills are not Tamiya, I bought them here in my country, don´t remember the brand but I think they´re Eduard.
