My 'Move It!' entry in work. Got the wheels on and other doo-dads. Also a view of the figure's MP40.
The frame, fuel tank, front forks, pretty much everythig that is panzer gray, will be weathered after the decals are applied.
I am debating whether or not to put the back seat on. I plan on draping a bedroll over the rear rack, and then attaching tools, canteen, gas mask container, mess kit, etc, to that. What do ya think? Would that be too historically inacurate?

hiya well Im not 100% sure but I think they came out of the factory with the rear seat on it.
but offcourse if it was troublesome they could just take it off.
I seen pictures of motorcycles with the seat on and stuff tied to the seat. and the same without the back seat
so lets call it an artistic choise

Yeah, I am just not sure if:
1. The bikes were 'issued' to the soldiers and they could do what they wanted to them.
2. They bikes had to stay in a certain condition.
3. The cycle troops always worked in pairs and the second seat would never have been removed.
4. Almost any scenario could be accurate since it was wartime.
The back seat is together and it almost just snaps on. I could just stick it on and remove it whenever I want, but I do like the 'clean' look without it. However, without the seat almost anything placed on the rack will be laying near the exhaust muffler and could catch fire(?)
The rack looks as if it was designed to work alone and the seat was an afterthought. Hhhhmmmm
