Ola people,
I wanted to try preshading but that didn't work out properly. First I sprayed everything Dark Green and then I highlighted some spots with Olive Green/Dark Yellow, 70/30. But as you can see, it didn't work
Then I applied some washes, just the basic ones. Many things need to be done, like detail painting en some local washes. Then will come the MIG Pigments to do the finishing touches.
Question for you: what kind of base shall I make for the 'dio' ?
Here are some pics, feedback is very welcome

Since I like easy dioramas, I would suggest a snow theme :-). But first, you need to whitewash it :-)

Ciao Jurjen,
I like the finish. It's just that the OD overwhelmed the Dark Green (it looks like a KVII in American Service). Maybe you could hit it once more lightly with the Dark Green (in the recesses). Overall, it looks really nice!!
I would suggest that you put it in a wheat field. I think that tan color of the wheat would set off nicely with the tank.
Ciao for now
Rob

This KV is really coming along -- WW2 Russian arrmor makes for great modeling.
Keep your base simple and show off this wonderful build. Showing the KV moving up a country lane with lots of tall grass would be a nice simple scene.
Some dry brushing with a lighter shade of Russian armor green would make some of the details/ high points pop, and really bring this model up to another level.
The tow cables look good also. There positions so near the tracks might fowl them in real life. Perhaps nudge them away from the front links abit. That's just me though. This is a great looking build.
Keep us posted.

looks good to me. some suggestions for the base are like rob said, the wheat/dead grass would look good with it. you also may want to add a fence or perhaps a bush or small tree. nice work on the kv, cant wait to see the finished base!

Thanks guys.
A dio with tall grass he? I'll give that a try I suppose I 'd make a error but I'm not for sure. The colour of the air intakes, they must be green? Instead of black what I did?

Lord Jurjen,
This KV II comes along real nice, this is one of the very nice KV II I seen. Another one is in track-link done by Adam Avukich, a good friend of mine too.
Real nice stuff, makes me wanna finish my KV II as well.

next time try to paint the areas that you want darker with flat black, and then just spray all the dark green trying to keep shading, and then the lighter coat.
(P.S. what does it mean "Ola" ? )

Really nice-looking KV-II. Fantastic job on your Russian green too, nice sublte weathering looks awesome. You even did a great job on those bland kit tracks. I really like that Russian slogan decal on the turret too.
Send more pics as you proceed !
Cheers !
