Perhaps it was too limited in scope. Even the Sherman tank group build had to branch out into just about any conceivable variant of the Sherman/Lee chassis to gain enough momentum.
Maybe a helicopter campaign would be broad enough?

I'd be up for another chopper campaign, and some of the guys in "death From Above" may re-enlist.

I can agree with this. Just don't make the scope too limited to Black Hawks

Hey Nate- I wasn't around for the "Death From Above" Campaign, but it & this thread have helped me form up an Idea: Would anyone be interested in a "Life From Above" Campaign or group build? The scope could include SAR, Medevac, Coast Guard, Extraction under fire, even Air transport/replenishment. I've got a few Ideas I could try out for this one...Any Takers?

Life from above is good for me. I would suggest that as a sub category to open it up to as many people as possible -- maybe two categories, attack and SAR/Transport.

Yeah I would have no problem with that, but I also suspect there might be a bit of campaign overload at the moment.
Seems to me, just about anytime someone is going to start a kit, they want to do a campaign.
I like the idea here, but it might be one to re-address in a few months.... but a different subject line could make a difference as well.

Sounds like something I said earlier in the thread. Helicopters isn't wide enough of a genre to support a build based on a small splinter idea. Even the most popular helicopter kit (some variant of the Huey) would have a hard time carrying a campaign by itself.

when i first posted the idea of the black hawk mission or campaign, i wasn't just talking about helicopters!!. as mentioned, the scope would and should be bigger. at first a few liked the idea but it get lots. i like to see those few and myself get back to the idea and try to come up with something........ again any takers? the campaign does not have to start tomorrow
