This will be my entry for the sherman campaign, it is still way too incomplete, but I would like to show you guys some in progress. I still need to add the stowage, make new paint chips, and add mud to the bottom parts of the tank. enjoy.....
why? you may ask, why only one pic? well, it was almost dark so the pictures came out terrible, too dark, so I decided to only show you one of them and more for later

Looks like a well worn out Sherman.

Howdy DRAGONSLAIN,

She's looking great. And your work on what looks like 'filtering' really came out nicely. And from what I can see of the weathering, you've got a great start on it.
Can't wait to see more pics!!

Tread.

yes, a couple filters, maybe too much, you'll see it better when I show you better pics and the stowage and mud.

PS- this is the tamiya kit, I filled the sponsons, made the strips where you mount the skirts and made new welds thanks

Great job there, the filters really ad to a 'worn out' appearance. Look forward to seeing it finished.

Looking good Dragonslain. I like the dark colour, and when pastels and dusting are added they will contrast nicely and tone down the overall appearance.
Could you explain briefly how you made the sand skirt attachment panels. What did you use? How far apart are the holes? Etc? Cheers!

well, Thanks plasticbattle, what I used is a 010" strip of styrene, calculating the size based on pictures, it is actually mounted on another strip of 040" that I glued to the bottom of the sponson. as for the wholes I measure the distance of the bolts of tamiyas sand skirt, it was 6mm.

Did you add an interior to it? I was wondering because of the wide open hatches. I would love to see what you put inside it. It's looking good.
