Hey Guys,
Iīm pretty new to this forum and want to show you my latest work in progress.
Itīs Tamiyaīs M3A3, built as a M3A1.
Parts I used were:
M3A2 - Tamiya
PE - Eduard
Machine Guns and Ammo boxes - Academy
Radio - Verlinden.
I painted the model with Tamiya Paints, weathering was done with filters and washes using oil paints, washes on the running gear with acrylics.
Thereīs still a lot of work to do, such as some more paint chips, some more weathering aso.
If you see anything that need to be changed or could be better, please let me know, as i donīt know much about alliied stuff .
Still a lot of work to do
Happy Modelling
Markus

That looks real nice, Markus!
Were the dash board dials part of the Eduard set, or do you have a special technique? I am envious.

Very nice example that you have built here. The paint and weathering is superb. The only thing (and it is a very minor thing is the star on the drivers side is a little crooked. But the build and attention to detail is great. Thanks for sharing the pics of your wonderful example with us here.

Great job, wonderful detail - love the radio.
Couple things I would say - the straps on the back racks seem a bit stiff to me.
I thought the knobs on the shifters were black, could be wrong though, I'm just going from memory.

Nice work on your M3A1 Halftrack. Overall finish is excellent, and your weathering is outstanding. Interior details are well-done. My only comment would be on the tracks, they need to be tighter. I do realize the limitatons ot the kit tracks, so dont worry about it.
Keep up the good work !
Cheers !!

Hey mates,
thank you very much for the kind words!!
Hollowpoint,
The dials were part of the PE set and printed on paper.
They are not as nice as the usual film in PE-Sets, but better than painting them on my own :-) .
As it can be seen, i had a bit of trouble applying them .
Animal,
i first realized the problem with the star when i looked at the pics.
Seems like i need some glasses .
slodder,
yes, i still have some more weathering to do, so i will overwork the straps after i finished the weathering.
I donīt know about the knobs, but it would bring some more color, i will paint them.
The interior is far away from beeing finished anyway .
Thank you for the advice!!
Alpenflagge:
The tracks are not yet glued on, so correct them will be the last thing, together with the straps, that will be fixed.
I will post some more pics when i went on

The one thing I see, is you need the wires on the radio, to the hand set and then the power cords. Nice job, keep up the good work.

Looks really good all around.
One thing to consider... The tracks on the real vehicle are essentially a heavy duty non-stretchy black rubber band. I'd try to get the weathering effect to look like the front tires more.

Hi Markus,
I really like your M3 . I build the M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage some time ago. (your version is much better) It was a very nice kit to build so I'm considering to build this kit to.
Have you used the kit decals? I encountered some problems when I applied them. So, how did you do it

AJLaFleche,
i still have to glue the tracks to the wheels. They are just in place for the pics, still need to finish the tracks, they only got the dirt an will receive further treatment .
Jurjen,
you are right, itīs a nice kit to build, whenever it has some minor errors.
Yes, i used the kitīs decals.
I used them with set and sol and hadnīt any big problems with them. They layed down pretty good .
