Hi everyone,
The construction of this kit stopped for three months and I gathered enough inspiration to finish it two weeks ago. With the help of Sabot on the problematic tracks, I am now nearly finished. I wanted to post it in the Rivet review board to see if there are corrections or additons to be made.
The build was OOB but I just added some styrene grab handles on the engine grill.

Great!, were the tracks too long? they were way too long on my elefant and had to do some unrealistic sag to make them fit.

Looking nice.
I would add a bit more dark wash to the engine vents. I would also add a touch of black in side the muzzle break and maybe even some black weathering around the outside of the muzzle break.
I like the way you gave it a dull overtone after the camo went on.

Beauty of a job. Hard to believe it's 1:72! Did you overpaint the hull # decals? I'm getting a wierd smudge effect in the last photos that looks like '124'...
Also looks like your right hand track is coming apart between the 3rd & 4th roadwheel, bottom picture.
O.K. now the real question- was meeting that TV show hostess :-)8 the real 'Inspiration' for finishing this piece?
Don't worry, your secret's safe with us! you lucky so-and-so...

To everyone,
Your inputs and comments are greatly appreciated. Merci beaucoup!!
Dragonslain,
The vinyl tracks were long and I had to cut off three track lenghts for it to sag properly.
Hi Slodder,
The engine grills were quite deep and I thought it created enough shadow. However, I will add some more to bring out more detail. I'm trying to depict the tank before the opening of Kursk. Hence, I thought that I would not add some powder residue on the barrel.
Hi Logansdad,
Heh,heh,heh,.....She is lovely and I had such a crush on her since she became a news anchor on the network. :I Anyway, she is my muse for an on-going project.
I did not overpaint the vehcile numbers. I guess the resolution of the pics are too low to pick-up the details and some of them got blurred.
Thanks again for your comments,
Wanze
