Would it seem cheesy to enter an unused portion of a kit from one campaign to submit in another?
In a nutshell--I have an ESCI/DML 1/9th BMW R75 I am building for the Move It! campaign. The bike comes with a Feldgendarme figure which I don't plan on including in that build.
Would anyone frown on my building the figure for the Ardennes Offensive campaign? It's not that I am medal hungry or anything. Lately the only way I have been motivated to make time to do some work on kits is either getting them ready for the local contest or showing progress on this website. Pretty sad, huh?
And it is not like the figure isn't the size of stand alone kit.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. After all you are "entering" a build that goes with the campaign, not the kit.

I think the minimim of figures in 1/35 for the ardennes campaing is three, not sure, but I would ask shonen_red about it, or you can get two more figures.

The minimum is three. But I wouldn't have a problem with doing a figure and bike as separate.
Look at it this way. Do you have spare parts/figures from other models? Of course you do! Everyone does (I hope). Now a year or two (or ten for some of you ) down the road, you see those parts or figures and want to incorporate them in a dio or with another kit. Do you think the least of it. There is no set time limit on when whats in one kit can be split up and considered two. There shouldn't be any problem with it. But thats just my opinion.

Spare figures--of course.
Spare figures in 1/9th scale--heck no!
That was what I was getting at. This figure is BIG and I was hoping he could count as a seperate kit.
And some more info: the figure is molded in a seated position for the bike, so the only way to properly display it would be, well, on the bike. The same bike entered in another campaign.
Or am I reading into this whole thing too much. I keep reading that the whole point of campaigns is promote building kits and to have fun.
