This kit represents a late production LVT4 used in Iwo Jima.

I first painted the green, then masked with some sticky paste (a yellow blue tack ?)...
painted the sand, then masked...
painted the earth color !

I also painted the white stripes.

I airbrushed some buff to bring the colors together.

The earth and dust are made with pigments. I baught them in an art store, they are much cheaper than those sold by model companies.

I still have a lot to do : work on details, tracks... add a load, a figure... a base...

That is really cool. Love the rust stain in the interior.

Very nice job you've done on your LVT ..Nice to see a good camo scheme ...Have you figured out how to get the tracks on without breaking the sprockets ? Keep up the good work ..your weathering is coming along nicely... I want to see more when it is all finished .

Looking real nice, I just finished the same kit a while back but as one in the ETO.
If I had seen this paint scheme I would have been real tempted to do it.
