Hiaya
This is the JSU 122 so far. I have made a very stupid fault. I forgot to remove tracks when I glued the upper hull to the lower hull. So now I have a problem with painting the tracks (I can see you laughing )
Hehe, here are some pics:
A real russian monster
Many things need to be done so if you have some tips, comments etc. I would be happy to hear them

Looks great so far Any problems with the kit? Did you put on the gun travel lock on the rear hull? I know the instructions call for it But the real thing didn't have them on

Hi General Zod,
The only problem is that you have to raise the upper hull by 2 milimetres because otherwise the tracks will hit the mudguards. (or lower the return rollers and ther idler wheel what I did ) Besides that I'm very confident with the kit.
Nope, It was a bit strange to me why a self propelled gun needed a gun travel lock so I didn't attached it
Ps. I just finished the build so I will post very soon some pics of the painting

Hi , a few tips , you need to replicate the welds on the lifting hooks on the Gun matle and also the towing hooks on the front . At the moment they look what they are lumps of plastic glued on . They should be part of the actual shape . You also need casting numbers on the side of the gun mantle and grab handles at the side of it . The cast nose has a ver ylarge area of torching , it is were the casting lug was torched off , it leaves a tell tale mark .Find a good ref photo and use that . otherwise very good cheers ian

Thanks for the tips Ian. The welds have been added. Have you any idee how I can add casting numbers?
Arggg, my vocabulaire is not that wide I don't understand it
What is a: cast nose, torching, casting lug, tell table mark. ( I feel really dumb )
Thanks

I have not tried this myself but you could try shaving off some numbers from the kit sprues and add them, if they are small enough.

Paul,
easier way than that mate, you can buy very small plastic lettering used in model railways comes in various sizes just cut them off the sprue and away you go they are cheap as well
