Here's another for allied Armour

Are there any good sites out there which have good reference shots of the RAM and/or the Kangaroo

I have done the google search and have found only one good site so far which is http://www.wwiivehicles.com/html/canada/ram.html

Are there any others as this doesn't have many pictures of either vehicles.

You guys always come up trumps so naturally this is my 1st stop

Ola Cromwell

A little search through A9 delivered me with this:
RAM and Kangaroo Walkarounds
http://tanxheaven.com/ljs/shervar/shervar.htm

A canadian site about the 1st Canadian Armored Carrier Regiment:
http://www.1cacr.org/

A site about teh restoration of a RAM/Kangaroo
http://www.mapleleafup.org/vehicles/restorations/restore7.html

A9 gotta love it.

I hope this is of some help to you

Here's a nice little page on Canadian Kangaroos: http://web.inter.nl.net/users/spoelstra/g104/1cacr/m7.html
Make sure to check the links on the page.

Here's a great page for marking on Canadian vehicles, including early Rams: http://www.armouredacorn.com/Reference/CVM/CVM10to19.htm

Here's a blog on building a Ram OP by Paul Roberts: http://www.track-link.net/blogs/31

There's more out there, but I can't seem to find the links right now.

Either project will be quite a chore. Doing a Ram involves aftermarket and/or extensive scratch-building (as evident in the blog above). Using an Italeri Kangaroo will involve lots of backdating to get a proper WWII Kangaroo, but not as difficult as the Ram.

Good luck!

Of course, you could always ask me. I don't bite.

Much...

Seriously, email me, I have a LOT of Ram info and good hints on how to make one from the available kits.

WARNING Shameless Plug TIme!

I just finished the final corrections for Vol 2 of my Ram history for Service Publications, so it is a pretty good bet that it should be available within a month. Check out the Weapons of War series at:

www.servicepub.com

I am also in the middle of volume 1 of a two volume set of books on the Valentine for a different publisher, so things are looking up for references for the Commonwealth modeller.
