Hi all
Here are some in progress pics of my M4A3 76mm Sherman.
The turret is Italeri M4A1 76mm turret and the hrest is Italeri marines Sherman. I will be replacing the tracks hopefully with AFV clubs T-48 tracks (opinions on these would be good to thanks)
I scratchbuilt the rack using Clearfile backs for the bottom and plastic strips for the cross bars.
I am really pleased with it and can't wait to start the other side.
All comments are welcome

Andy
Looks great so far Great job on the sandbag racks As far as the AFV Club T48 tracks go,they aren't too bad to deal with On the inner pad they have an injector pin that could be sanded off

If you are going to use the duckbill extended end connectors, they only include 120 of them So you won't be able to put them on each link

Hi Andy
Your model looks great to me.I have the same tank nearly done somewhere about the place and was thinking of using the Verlinden Sherman stowage set on it.

Looks like very good work there Andy. I cant wait to see it full of sand bags!! Be sure to make a couple with some small arms holes since you want to make it a beat up sherman. Very good work!! Cheers Kevin

Hi all,
Here are some update pics for you. I know the sandbags are a little big but have them there just for display purposes at the moment. All stowage is temporary for the same reasons.
All comments welcome

Andy
Coming along great dude (++) You may want to lower the stowage on the rear deck Generally they didn't put stuff there high enough to interfere with the main gun being able to rotate around fully

Thanks for the comments Chad, That did not cross my mind at all so I will change that when I finally attach the stowage.

Andy didn't you do a large hatch M4A1 with cast in applique? What happened to that project?

Lord Kiwi

Sorry I am late on this thread --- quite a nice project you have going here.

Nice to see you trying the sandbags on this one. Sandbags settle and kind of wrap around each other's contours due to their weight, so the bags in your side racks could maybe be snugged up to each other and flattened out a bit. It's kind of fun working with these

Love the bucket on the one rack ---nice touch pal :-)

Keep us posted.
Steve
