Well as I was building the ICM BM-21 GRAD, which is a bear of a kit due to the crappy instructions, I needed something to build along with the GRAD to ease the stress, a kit that basically falls together, and would be a good alternative to getting more aggrivated at the GRAD.
So I chose the older offering of the Italeri Leopard 2.
Really nice kit, was very suprised as to how well it went together compared to some other Italeri kits, this one would be on par to Tamiya offerings of probably 5 years ago....maybe not quite as crisp in detail as Tamiya, but in ease of buildability, it is. If you like the Leopard 2 and want an early model of it, this is an excellent (and probably the only mainstream one of it) kit.
More can be seen in my Gallery....have a look.

Scott,
It does look good. Especially for the Italeri kit.
That sink hole was always a problem, along with the seam lines around the stowage doors on the sides of the chassis back by the engine. Not sure why they took that route when designing the kit. How hard could it have been to mold those into the sides instead of on the skirting?
Their tracks seem to be a link or two too long also. Is there too much sag between the idler and the first road wheel?
I do like your wire cables and did you put real tubing or wire around the spool on the turret rear? Or just an excellent job of cleaning up the mold marks and seams on the original one?
Keep up the good work!
