Hey Guy's,
Here are a few shots of my Ic Hybrid weathering progression. I have done multilple pin washes with oil paint and added mud to the underside and lower hull and a slight overspray of Tamiya buff . All comments welcome. Please bear in mind that Iam not quite done and have to tie it all together a bit more.
Cheers,
Bryan

Lord, you put my efforts to shame! What is the significance of the white markings on the lower side of the gun tube?

Hi DJ,
thanks for the kind words. The white under painting on the end of the 17lber barrel was an attempt to camouflage the longer barrel of the 17 pounder and try and make it look more like the standard 75mm guns barrel length.. The Germans would target the Fireflies and this was simply an attempt to blend in. HTH
cheers,
Bryan

Wow Bryan, very cool! Not an Allied guy, but that Firefly looks fantastic, I like how you've got the mud laid out, and the overspray with the Buff does wonders to help offset that plain old Olive Drab. Those weld seams, did you redo them or are they like that on the kit?
Great job!

I'm not a sherman expert at all but I have to say that this is a real beauty Those weldings, did you made them by yourself? They look very convincing. And the tracks, are they after market? Looks really good to me. You have a winner there.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words troops, its really appreciated.
The welds are all made by myself with styrene rod and liquid cement, and the tracks are from AFV club. If you go to my Photo Album there are pictures of the model before it was painted.
Cheers,
Bryan

Outstanding work on your Firefly ! The weathering is excellent. Overall appearence is very well-done. Just enough stowage too. Are you going to have a TC in that turret hatch ?
Cheers !!

I agree with everybody else, with the exception of my opinion on your stowage, I believe there should be some little off color in there some where.
Some of the fuel cans or ammo boxes, could of set in the shade a lot longer then some of the others, and have a lot newer paint color. They pickup, and drop off things as they go, so things should be a little different colors, I would believe.
Now your model looks very good, but I just wanted it to look great, of course this is just my opinion. Others might disagree, they already say it looks great.
Of course you said you wasn't done yet, so maybe you was going to fix this.
