Ola People
Today at the Twenot national meeting and contest I bought this little resin kit from Coelian models a dutch company. The kit is Der Hammer (das Gerat Hammer means The "Hammer". It`s a more or less experimental Resoilless AT gun made by the Germans in Early WW2 but then used later in the war. When the opposing armor became thicker.
The piece is rare and it looks mean. every ingredient that is neccesary to make me Purchase it :-) :-) :-)
Well it is not a hard kit to built and I started on it when I came home and about 1,5 hours after that it was cleaned and assembled. Also I added the fig that will go on the vignette underground to give an idea of the finished scene and the size comparison as this gun is not the best friend for Allied armor.
Well here are some pics:
I will do a review about this kit but here is an overview of the Kitcontents:
The gun and figure:
And again the Gun and fig but then from a different angle.
Crates and rounds
Big fun with a big gun. Quite a nice kit and everything fitted quite well. Some flash to clean but that was actually all. But more info about the kit in the Kitreview. I will also deliver some more info about the piece.

That is awesome Robert!
I love how big it is and the rockets!
How much did it cost and what is the kit I.D. # I might have to buy it!
Rob
P.S. Stick that AT gun on a Panther chassis and smoke it!

Amazing gun isn`t it.
Well here is the Kit ID:
35004
Der Hammer, full kit of the 105mm antitank gun, WW II. (Figure not included.)
Price 11,50 euro.
In Dollars I think it would be just under 15 Dollar but I`m not completely sure of that maybe it is around the same prize.
Here is the link to the company. They make some other fun stuff too

Looks great so far Any problems with warpage? I did not know the Germans had recoiless rifles Is that figure German? The helmet looks like a U.S. type

There was some minor warpage here and there but nothing wich can`t or couldn`t be repaired with.
Well when I got the kit from the manufacturer saturday he gave me some more informationj about the use of the gun by the germans (he had already send me a couple of scanned pages by mail) The germans made the gun early in WW2 but then discarded it because it was too heavy for the existing armor at that time. so they put it back in the closet. Then when the armor of the opponents became thicker they took it out of the closet late war and they have used it.
You are absolutely correct about the figure. It isn`t a German soldier but a US MP that looks in Awe to the massiveness of the gun. The Scene I want to create is of that gun Hidden somewhere in a Liberated Ruhr Area. The germans just left the gun there when the ground became too hot under their feet.

I never knew that the Germans had anything like that. I wonder if that is where we got the design for our 90mm recoiless rifle?

I've heard of these little gems.
The raw parts look a bit rough -lots of flash.
You've cleaned it up well and it looks like it'll come together nicely with a bit of color.

Ola Guys
thanks for the replies.
Scott well it looks a bit rough that`s for sure but actually it is only flash wich can easily be cleaned. It only took me about 20 minutes to clean all the parts.

No problem mate. It`s a fun little kit wich will look very good in color.
Dave
That was what made me order the thing. The rarity of it. I had never heard of Germany having weapons like this.
