Hey all, Here are some pics of my PST KV-122, I added cast texture to the turret, and weld seams round the turret joints. Also i added grab handles. I painted the tank with MM acrylics. I gave the tank a faded white wash, and some fender damage. All comments are welcome guys!

Thanks for the replys guys! Searching for reference material on this tank was very hard to find. From what i found, the KV-122 was only a test tank, and was made obsolete by the JS-2, But the few that were produced were most likely used in combat. The kit markings are the 62nd Gaurd Heavy breakthrough tank regiment, 8th guard tanks corps, in autumn 1943. The kit went together really well, and wasnt really missing any details. One thing that the kit might need is some PE fender support brackets. Other than that it is an awesome build, i might even do another one. PST kits are very nice, and well worth the money.

I used testors blue glue, and a stiff nylon bristled brush. You spread the glue on in sections, the let it tack up for a minute or so, and then dab at it with the brush to obtain the texture. You have to keep at it until the glue will retain the texture, but the result is well worth the effort.

Yes the tracks are link and length, They were a blast to assemble. The kit came with quite a few spare links, so spare track stoage could be a posibility.

The kit cost me a whole $5 on squadron, It was on a Comsale at the time i got it. But usually it only costs about $7-9. Its a great deal!
