I have finished "I want to Go Home", a US Marine in Korea, seated by a village totem reading a letter from home. I added snow to the scene, to give it the look of cold, an he looks cold! It is a 120 MM kit from Corree and I really liked it.

Painted it with acryics for everything but the fact and oils for the face. It is well molded and executed.

Painting a lot of OD on a figure has always been a challenge for me, to get the contrast down, but I think I did it this time. Tell me that you think!

Looks great!

What would really make the guy look cold, is have maybe a jeep cap on his head. You know, one of thise winter hats that look like baseball caps with short brims?

Nice one Lance. The skin tones are amazing and very realistic. The snowy base and totem pole throws me, as I never would associate Korea with either of them ....
The figure looks well sculpted and considering all colours are a dark OD, I think you made a fine job in showing the details, yet no visible dry brushing. The slight sheen gives a nice damp look. The one thing I think it lacks is vegetation of some sort. Maybe another missconception, but I would imagine a fairly green environment! All the best.

If you look at a map, North Korea is even with much of Mongolia. In the winter it is cold, extremely so. You may remember the Chosin Reservoir battle, the "Frozen Chosin" campaign. It was no fun...
