G'day Guys
After i went into panic mode over having nothing to build, many of you offered help, which i really appreciated.
Anyway, i wont mention who sent me this kit because i believe that its best left unsaid for my personel opinions, but he knows who he is and knows how very grateful i am, so thanks mate!
Anyways this is what im working on,
Tamiyas 1/48 F-51D, but i decided to make it into an RAAF version, which meant new paint job on the nose, the "dalls" canopy, and new decals.
Decals have been made on pc just waiting to get some decal paper so i can print em off then put them on the bird.
anyways here she is so far, wish i could show you the pics but youll hafta go with the link, sorry.
RAAF Mustang
let me know what you all think, cheers

Very nice looking warbird, Dave, and a great entry for this all so important campaign...Glad to see you're going to get an entry in, Bro..I've been trying to get another entry in for this campaign but life is getting in the way lately(not too much time for the "good things")...still lot's of time left though, there might be hope left for a second entry from myself...

G'day guys
thanks for the kind words.
Garry, i think the metal worked out pretty well, i used Humbrols Polished Aluminium, then when it dried just gave it a bit of a polishing with an old t-shirt.
Mark, hope you can get another entry in, leave room for the competition though, lol.
cheers

Dave the finish is top notch. One little nit pick, I hope you don't mind. In photo number 8 the head on shot the canopy seems to be tilting to the right as you look at the photo. Has it been clued or is it just sitting on the fuselage? Looking forward to seeing it with the unit markings on it.
