Hi All

With the Dive!-Dive!-Dive! campaign starting in less than 2 1/2 hours (lt) and counting, I thought a little push in the back would come just in time.

This lone lone wolf is ready for war and looking for a wolfpack to play with!!!!!

So I beg to you, children of the deep…. go now and get started on those subs, and build an armada of these beauties!!!

(don’t mind the language, but I’m now really getting in the mood for getting started on the sub campaign!!)
I’m considering my U-82 ready for the deep, except for a dullcoat and weathering the hull to simulate algae. But I’m afraid to screw up now, so I’m waiting for a more skilled modeler to show me how, so I can really finish my roomfiller…
Let me know what you think!!!

Foul!! I cry foul!! I can't even get started on mine yet! All I can do is admire the 3 ft. long pretty box and drool!!! :-) The bad thing is, my prop shop (my job) and my model shop are in the same buildibng, so I am forced to look over at my model shelf and see all of the nice, un-opened boxes!!

You did a wonderful job on this one and judging from the rest of your work, I wouldn't worry too much about screwing up the rest of it.

Cheers!

Steve

Good job there Björn!!!

Can you give any input to the guys who are about (or just started) to make this model in the DDD Campaign?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments all!!!

Skipper, you really made a showpiece of your skipjack, so I 'll be sure to ask advice from the master on this one!!.
I have only three pieces of advice for the guys building the revell sub.
1/Watch out while rigging. The connection pieces between the ropes, looking like pulleys, are really weak, the holes are too tiny so you need a very small drill or needle to punch them through, and they break easily. Same thing for the stern racks where the rigging is attached to. the are really fragile.
2/ you need to have the rigging enter the sub at the stern, but that ain't easy when the deck is in place. I pulled a piece of metal wire through the hole in the deck, exiting the sub through the ventholes just above the rudders (which you need to open offcourse), glueing the riggingwire to the rod, and pulling it through. After that you'll need a little weight, a little glue and a final cut with the scissors and voila!!.
3/Be sure to have A LOT of space to accommodate this baby, because she is in every aspect huge!!.

Very, very nice indeed. I am happy to see so much interest finally in the Warship category. The sub is very realistic. I know very little about subs but I do know talent when I see it. Bravo and three cheers

That looks great! I like the weathering and the antenna rigging is very realistic. The whole thing looks very realistic as a matter of fact. Great work.
