Back view,I decided to put the spare roadwheels here, and spare track brackets on the turret rear.

A weird composite assembly,Italeri,DML,and some Tamiya.

Herr Sel,
Yes,I have opened the floor hatch to allow me to rig a cable up through the front of the turret, and have opened a rectangular hole on the turret front, behind the "spout" shaped thing on its front.
Gonna look cool

That's coming along nicely, Carl.

You worried me a bit when I saw those Italeri aircleaners in the first pics, but I see you used the DML kit parts on the lower hull.

Do you have a driver compartment and transmission to drop in it? With the front hatches open, it's gonna look mighty empty up there if you don't.

Makes me want to do a Sherman varient. Nice. Looking forward to seeing your progress pics AND "issue" comments; anything that's been real easy or a pain.
Kinda like Rockfall, I like the unusual...hence my IT-28 for the "Seeing Red" campaign.

Keep us posted!

Since this will be hoisting a Type 94,I will have a driver in the driver's compartment.I did ponder the need for a tranny to fill that area, but a figure will cover a multitude of omisions.(sp?)
I decicded to use the DML aircleaners, I tacked the Italerii ones just to get some dimensions figured out.
Tonight I will secure the boom front mounts and make weld beads around them. (++) (++)

Since you opened up the floor and the hole in the turret are you building it with the boom up?

I thought I had seen some photos somewhere indicating that the rectangular hatch on the front deck also had a cable coming out from the inside (hooked up to a PTO perhaps?) that went through the rollers attached around it, serving as a winch.

Anybody know if that's correct also?

Very cool Carl! Can't wait to start my own M32 (just don't have time for it )

What camo do you have in mind? Just olive drab or some sort of scheme?

Greetings,
Martin

Tom,thats right. That hatch there is for the cable to be fed out the front. There was 1 winch,so depending on the use of the cable,it could go out the front, out the "spout" on the turret up to the boom,or,out the little hatch in the rear of the turret to act as a wrecker, with the boom stowed. Thanks for the info. I've had one sitting around mostly complete for quite some time and wanted to finish it off. I've had a hard time finding references, a shame since these workhorses were a very significant "combat multiplier" for our armor during the European campaign.

Ok,I have attached the turret to the hull, and threaded the lift cable, and the boom stays.
these are the tie downs of the boom stays on the rear lift points.I have put bent copper wire as the beginnings of the securing clamps.

here is an over all view of the vehicle.

Thats a Hudson and Allen cable that I havent made mounts for yet.
